Text Box: Full Steam Ahead is an acoustic band specializing in traditional instrumental, vocal and original Bluegrass music. The band formed when John Malone, Larry Zellers, Mike Hutnik, and Ted McCague met in early 2004 at a bluegrass ensemble class offered at the Calliope School of Music in Pittsburgh. The group was later completed with the addition of Chalmers Waddell and began playing “the circuit” in 2006 at area jam sessions, festivals and gigs. Each member of the band brings a musical background, dedicated work ethic, and compatibility that together create a synergy of musical talent as they work toward their goal of becoming a well known and respected regional Bluegrass band.
